![]() I still use and love my 60csx, but just can't see the screen anymore when I'm rolling along. Went with the 276cx because I liked the "use of buttons" (read too many issues with touchscreen) and I just NEEDED a bigger screen. I feel that there has to be a reason why the maps are not showing as "installed" on the 276cx. If I can't send maps to this new (bought it 3 months ago) GPS, then it's a $600 brick. My concern is at what point will Windows no longer support use of Mapsource. I did chat with Garmin for an hour, their final response, "just keep using Mapsource". I cannot understand why Basecamp won't do it!! Is it a Basecamp issue, is it a GPSMap 276cx issue, is it a MapInstall issue. I can go to "Configure Maps" and they show as an installed map. If I use Mapsource (which I have used for years with my Map 60csx) it will load the maps onto the 276cx. When I reconnect to the PC, use file explorer, it shows the maps (.img) on the SD Card. When I try again using Mapinstall, it shows what maps are available to install on the GPS and shows "Not Installed" on the map I JUST installed. The only option is the Worldwide DEM map. After disconnecting the GPS from the PC, I go to "Configure Maps", they are not there. Mapinstall goes through all the motions (indexing, creating maps, etc.), says it sends, and finishes. Maps are mine, meaning purchased DVD's (and "not lockable", what ever that means). GPS, Basecamp, and Mapinstall are all running the latest versions, running Windows10. The only map that shows is the basic Worldwide DEM. Using basecamp, mapinstall, my maps (example TOPO 24k Southwest) will not show on the GPS276cx as "installed maps". I have been searching the internet for days now! This issue has me completely baffled and I do not know what to do. I am by no means an expert on GPS and maps, but I do know a little. I have tried a few other forums (including Basecamps and GPSFILEdepot) and I am getting absolutely no response. img file.Ĭan someone please advise what were the “last” working versions of apps for Mac that support 10.12 and where I can find them? I actually could care less about basecamp app, I make my gpx tracks in suunto moves count or on strava and can move them to my device by just drag and drop, but my issue is that most online maps seem to be only available in.
